From findagrave.com, Jan 2015: The Henry Bulletin, Afternoon Edition, Mon., Oct. 25, 1937, p. 2, col. 2: (edited) Funeral services were held Sunday at the home of a brother-in-law, Rora J. Clift, College Street, for Mike Minter, 45, who died Saturday at the Clift home following a long decline in health. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Surviving are his wife and one son, Kennon Minter, and the following brothers and sisters: J. H., W. S., J. J. and D. L. Minter of this city, and F. J. Minter of Hampton; Mrs. C. S. Moore of Fieldale; Mrs. S. G. Lawing and Mrs. Rora J. Clift of this city. He was a son of the late J. Harlan and Frances Winn Minter of Martinsville. The deceased was engaged in the motor repair business, having taken up that work when the automobile industry was in its infancy. April 2020: email contact from Michael Minter.
