Funeral services for William Silas Minter, 71, who died Tuesday at his home in Roanoke, were held yesterday at Leatherwood Primitive Baptist Church. Interment followed in the family burial ground nearby. Mr. Minter is survived by his wife, Mrs. Miranda Minter, and six children, A. C. & F. O. Minter, this county; L. E. Minter and Mrs. J. J. Slaydon of Roanoke; Mrs. J. E. Washburn and Mrs. J. N. Barbour, both of this county. Several brothers residing in Henry county one of whom is a citizen of Martinsville, also remain. The deceased was born and reared in the Leatherwood section of Henry county, but some years ago moved to Roanoke, where he had resided up until the time of his death.
