Notes |
- The following comes from the Ash Family Reconstitution Forms supplied by Cally Scheider in December 2012. The source quoted there is "Cartwright and Kelsey", the Ash village school now a Church Aided Primary School. This information hasn't been verified by me.
"[Gertrude, sister Lilian and possibly sister Clara] 11 May 1892 - away with measles"
In 1901 Clara was a servant in Westerham, Kent
1911 census: Clara, 32, single, born Ash, Kent, was a mission sister, Church Army, living at 2 Lake View, S George, Bristol with Edward Ricketts RUMENS, 31, and his wife.
1921 census: at Trewint Home, Domestic Training Service, Cold Blow, Bexley, Kent, Clara MINTER (head, 42y 10m, born Ash, Kent, was the Matron, Sister in Charge, Church Army Institution, working at ???? ???, Bexley.
1939 Register: at 92 High Street, Burton Latimer, Northamptonshire
RUMENS, Clara born 7 Aug 1878, married, unpaid domestic duty
BUTTERS, Henry born 13 Nov 1932, at school
I cannot see any connection between Clara and Henry. The latter's birth was registered in Q4 1932 at Kensington, mother's maiden name JONES.
