  Notes	Ancestry.co.uk UK, Register of Duties Paid for Apprentices' Indentures, 1710-1811: 18 April 1775: Wm. Minter apprenticed to Jos. Child of Ash, butcher. A butcher of Chislet from 1780, admitted a freeman of Canterbury, 1789. Owner occupier of house and land at Chislet in 1790. A witness at Bishopsbourne 17 July 1790. Listed in the Canterbury poll of 1790 and 1796 and in the East Kent poll of 1790 and 1802. A witness at Chislet 6 November 1810. Aged 52 when he died. Will proved November 1812 at Canterbury Archdeaconry Court. Per Cliff Minter - there are several headstones in Chislet relating to this family: William Minter late of this parish who died 30 October 1812 age 52 he left surviving Margaret his wife 5 sons and 4 daughters Also of William their son who died 9 April 1799 age 5 Also of Thomas their son who died 16 August 1817 age 22 ------ Sacred to the memory of Margaret Minter who departed this life 22 April 1847 aged 73 Also of Alfred Minter who departed this life 5 June 1873 age 66 Also of Harriet Minter who departed this life 31 August 1875 age 77 Blessed are they that die in the Lord ------- Hannah Minter who died 22 March 1818 age 18 also Anne Churchman died 9 April 1828 aged 86 years also Anne Moore who died 8 November 1844 aged 61 years [possibly on the same stone] In affectionate remembrance of Thomas Minter who died 14 March 1876 age 46 -------- Sacred to the memory of William Frederick Minter of this parish who died 4th July 1860 aged 56 years Also Elisabeth infant daughter of the above who died 4 March 1836 age 7 weeks left surviving Tamzin his widow 1 son and 2 daughters viz. Thomas, Hannah, Sarah and Ann Also Tamzin widow of above died 13 December 1884 age 88 years Also William Wacher only grandson of the above who died 25 April 1888 aged 20 years 7 months His end was peace
