Minter, 85, widow of William Silas Minter, who passed away at her home on the Barrow's Mill Road. Funeral services were held at Leatherwood Primitive Baptist Church this afternoon with interment following in the Minter family burial ground near Dyer's Store. Surviving are five children; Avarett C. Minter, near city; L. E. and Tony O. Minter, both of Roanoke; Mrs. J. E. Washburn of near Ridgeway and Mrs. J. N. Barbour of Philadelphia. Two sisters, Mrs. John W.Cheshire, city and Mrs. Corine Hurd of Roanoke, also remain. Her husband died about nine years ago.
