(64), Sarah (49), Ronald (15), James (14) and Ann ARMSTRONG (78). 1871 census: at Manor House, Brixton Road, Lambeth, Alexr. (75, clerk (upholsterer), Sarah (60), James (24, clerk (oilbroker), Ann ARMSTRONG (mother-in-law, widow, 88) and 3 domestic servants. 1881 census: at 24 Villa Road, Brixton: Alexr. (86, no occupation), Sarah (71), son James (34, clerk (oil brokers), his wife Agnes P (40, born Hull, Yorks) and their children Alexr. (7, grandson), Agnes M (6, scholar) and Grace (5, scholar). Alexander died aged 85 in late 1881. 1891 census: Sarah, Alexander's widow was living with her daughter-in-law (see James's Notes).
