August 2014: google maps shows 56 High Street as Coral bookmakers. The building housing 55 & 56 High Street is Grade II listed.
1881 census: at 82 Cambridge Street, Ladywood, Birmingham, Thomas (43, draper) and Ann (20, draper's wife, born Birmingham). Son Harry (16, engine shaper at works) was a boarder at 7 St Martins Place, Ladywood, Birmingham (where his father was to live in 1891). No trace of son Charles.
