  Notes	In 1841 William and Lydia and their two children William and Edward lived in Boxted with William (50, carpenter) & Ann (40) NEVARD. William was almost certainly William's father but I'm not sure who Ann was. 1851 census: in Boxted (all NEVARD, all born Boxted except Lydia), William (36, carpenter), Lydia (41, born Great Horkesley), William (son, 13, carpenter), Edward (son, 11, errand boy), Mary Ann (daughter, 9, scholar), Nathan (son, 5, scholar), Frederick (son, 3) and Charles (son, 3 weeks). Next entry is for William NEVARD Snr (married, 66, carpenter, born Boxted) (wife not shown) and the one after is for John & Charlotte NEVARD and family. 1861 census: in Boxted (all NEVARD, all born Boxted except Lydia), William (40, carpenter), Lydia (49, born Great Horkesley), William (son, 23, carpenter), Edward (son, 21, carpenter), Mary A (daughter, 18), Nathan (son, 15, ag lab) and Frederick (son, 13, ag lab). Also a visitor George H GARRARD (?), (26, ag lab, born London). 1871 census: in a private house, Boxted (all NEVARD, all born Boxted except Lydia), William (55, carpenter), Lydia (61, born Great Horkesley), Nathan (son, 25, ag lab) and Frederick (son, 23, carpenter). 1881 census (indexed as NEUARD by Ancestry): in Boxted (both NEVARD), William (65, carpenter, born Boxted) and Lydia (70, born Little Horkesley). 1891 census in Workhouse Hill, Boxted (both NEVARD), William (widower, 75, carpenter, born Boxted) and Nathan (son, single, 44, carpenter, born Boxted).
