- From Gazette Live of 16 April 2008 (also several other web reports):
A poignant ceremony will name Redcar's latest inshore lifeboat after the woman whose generous legacy paid for the vessel.
Jacky Hunsley, of Leeds, died in a coach accident while on holiday in South Africa in September, 1999.
She left the charity a share of her estate to support the lifeboat service on the North Yorkshire coast.
As well as funding Redcar's £29,000 D-class lifeboat, her legacy has paid for an IT upgrade at the station and crew training for five years.
And on Saturday Jacky's sister, Pauline Jackson, will name the boat Jacky Hunsley in her memory before officially handing it over to the RNLI.
Dave Cammish, Redcar RNLI Lifeboat Operations Manager, said: "As a charity, the RNLI relies on the generosity of people like Jacky Hunsley to provide the lifeboats, equipment and training we need to carry on saving lives at sea."
