Herbert John (10) was at a school in Ipsden, Oxfordshire. 1891 census: still at 35 Drummond Crescent, St Pancras, London with mother in law, now a widow, Sophia SMEED (76, baker) - Robert C (48, railway clerk), Sophia (45), Herbert J (20, billiard worker or marker) and Harry S (15, chemist's assistant). No trace of Percy. Robert appears to have died in St Pancras Workhouse. There is a record in the London Metropolitan Archives at Ancestry of the death there on 21 September 1898 of Robt. C Minter, 55. It says he was buried at Finchley Cemetery. 1901 census: at 55 Crowndale Road, St Pancras, Sophia (55, widow) and Harry S (25, furniture porter).
