1901 census: at 3 Villa Road, Hastings (a lodging house), John (60, living on own means) and Bessie (51). Ernest was boarding at 124 Stapleton Hall Road, Hornsey, Middlesex, aged 25, bankers cashier. No trace of Arthur [but see his Notes]. John and his wife and daughter were at 43 Tebright Road, South Mimms, Herts. Louisa was married.
