  Notes	1841 census: in Rackheath, Norfolk, Robert (50), ag lab, Lydia (50), Rebecca (15), James (12) and Christmas (10). 1851 census: in Rackheath, Norfolk, Robert (67), ag. lab., Lydia (66), sons Samuel (33) and James (24) and Samuel's wife Maria (30) and daughter Rebecca (2). Also 2 grandaughters: Mary (15) (probably the orphaned daughter of Robert Cossey and Alithea Minter) and Jane (8) (no indication of who she was). Robert's daughter Rebecca was a house servant in Church Lane, St Faiths, Sprowston, Norfolk on the farm of George and Sarah BARNES. A Mary, aged 15, born Rackheath, was a servant with Mary Ann NEWMAN at George Hill, Catton, Norfolk - she could have been the daughter of Robert and Lydia but there is no evidence of this. 1861 census: Robert (77) a widower and still working as a labourer, described as brother-in-law!, was living with his daughter Rebecca and her husband Robert LAND and family in Sprowston Road, Sprowston, Norfolk. 1871 census: now 85 and correctly described as father-in-law, Robert was still living with the LAND family but no longer working, apparently. He died in 1874.
