He was residing in Athens at the time of his death in a Tyler hospital. He was survived by his father of Palestine; two daughters, Paula Jean Robertson Rudy of Whitehouse and Shannan Elizabeth Robertson of Austin; three sons, Rex Robertson of Nevada, Dan Robertson of Palestine, and Joe Robertson of Kilgore; sisters, Judye Marie Robertson Pardue, Nancye Pope, and Sammye Robertson, all of Palestine; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. His obituary was published in the Palestine Herald-Press, Thursday, 5 February 2005.
