  Notes	From memorialsolutions.com, May 2015: Charles Ray Minter, 85, of Daleville, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2011. Charlie was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in WWII and War of Korea. He was an active member of St. Marks United Methodist Church, a longtime member of the Williamson Road, Airport Road and Troutville Lions Club and an active member of the Troutville VFW Primary. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, reading and volunteer Mission work. Charlie is preceded in death by his parents; E. Harley and Icie Minter: Brothers; E.H. Minter Jr., Frank Minter and Jim Minter: Sister; Ruby Minter Michael. He is survived by his wife, Anita R. Minter: Daughters; Pamela Anne Wilson and LaVern Houck Davis: Brother; Thomas E. Minter and wife, Linda: Sister; Marie Easterly: Grandchildren; Theresa Anne Masse, Kevin Peter Masse, Nicholas Wiley Wilson, Dana Baird Turner and husband, Tyler and Bo Davis. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. A service celebrating the life that Mr. Minter lived will be held on Friday, December 16, 2011 at 12:00 noon at St. Marks United Methodist Church. Family will receive friends prior to the service at 11:00 am with Rev. Dave Rochford officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Blue Ridge Cancer Center of Roanoke or to St. Marks United Methodist Church, building fund.
