- In 1841 and 1851 Francis was with his mother at 31 Margaret Street, St James Clerkenwell, London. he was at the same address in 1861 but as 'lodger'. He was unmarried, 37, a plasterer.
Francis made a Will which was proved on 30 April 1864. The executor was Thomas Nayler of 31 Margaret Street, which was Francis's address when he died. Comparison of Elizabeth's signature with that written in 1855 in connection with the baptism of daughter Mary Ann (qv) makes it fairly certain that the two signatures are of the same person, particularly in the way the 'z' of Elizabeth is formed.
