  Notes	It would appear from the Bungay Independent register of baptisms that John & Louisa had a daughter Florence baptised on 6 July 1835. But there is no other sign of her - no burial record for instance. 1841 census: in Olland Street, Lower Bungay Holy Trinity, Suffolk, John (50, carpenter), Louisa (45), Louisa (20, silk throwster), George (15, carpenter's apprentice), (Emely (sic), 13) and Alfred (5). 1851 census: in Lower Olland Street, Bungay Holy Trinity, John (widower, 60, journeyman carpenter, born Metfield, Suffolk), daughter Louisa (widow, 33, housekeeper), (Emily, 19, dressmaker), Alfred (15, apprentice carpenter) and grandson Charles (7, scholar). John's wife must have died in the 1840s but there is no trace of the registration of it. Charles the grandson must have been Louisa the daughter's illegitimate son. It isn't clear why Louisa was described as a widow unless it was to save embarrassment. She married in 1856 and in 1861 Charles was described incorrectly as Louisa's husband's son-in-law. 1861 census (indexed as MINITER by ancestry): in Lower Olland Street, Bungay Holy Trinity, John (72, carpenter) and Alfred (23, carpenter). The following is taken from http://listsearches.rootsweb.com/th/read/NORFOLK/2001-02/0981459107 It appears to have been printed in the in the Beccles & Bungay Weekly News of 17 January 1865 and the heading DEATHS. On the 13th January, at Bungay, in the 77th year of his age, John MINTER, journeyman carpenter. The deceased worked for Mr John D. BOTWRIGHT, builder, and for his family upwards of 62 years as apprentice and journeyman, and until within a week or two of his death, his illness being only of a few days' duration.
