  Notes	Patience's marriage to Henry Minter must have ended in divorce: the 1930 US census shows: In Seattle, King, Washington, George W POPE (head, 48, 27 when he first married, born England, tile setter), Patience M POPE (wife, 38, 17 when she first married, born England), George G MINTER (step-son, 15, born Canada) and Irene M MINTER (11, born Canada). George Pope arrived in the US in 1922, Patience and the two children, George and Irene, in 1927. The children must have been born in Canada of Henry Minter and Patience before they divorced. On the same 1930 US census page but a few entries later on appears Patience's son Arthur H Minter (qv). The U.S., Naturalization Records - Original Documents, 1795-1972 (World Archives Project) at Ancestry.com have a reproduction of a 'Petition for Naturalization' completed on 7 May 1937 by Patience May (sic) POPE. It shows that she arrived in Seattle, Washington, US from Victoria, BC, Canada on 26 February 1927 on the SS Princess Charlotte. Several other details have been incorporated into Patience and her family's records. According to the US SSDI Patience was born on 27 Jan 1888 and died aged 81 in July 169 of El Monte, Los Angeles.
