| Notes |
- According to East Sussex, England, Church of England Births and Baptisms, 1813-1920 at ancestry, Fanny was baptised on 25 June 1837 at St Peter, Chailey. But this entry in the regiister of baptisms shown her mothers as Elizabeth. I haven't investigated this - was it a mistake or did Fanny's father marry twice?
1861 census: Fanny (23, unmarried) was living with her now-married sister Jane.
1871 census: at 80 Kings Road, Brighton, Sussex: Fanny BASSETT (servant, unmarried, 29, dressmaker, born Chailey, Sussex).
