  Notes	From findagrave.com, Feb 2015: Funeral services for Archie Highfield, 83, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Forest Cemetery with Heath Highfield, Terry Busby, Jake Sawyer, Zack Colburn and R.J. Lagrone serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Garvis Anglin, George Law and Sonny George. Mr. Highfield passed away Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010, at Wadley Hospital in Texarkana, Texas. Mr. Highfield was born on April 7, 1927, in the Mahoney community, the son of Elmer and Martha (Kirby) Highfield. He married Jean Minter on Feb. 28, 1948, in Dallas. She preceded him in death on Feb. 18, 1995. Mr. Highfield retired from dairy farming after 45 years in the business. He was a member of Pine Forest Methodist Church. He is survived by two sons, William Archie Highfield and wife, Gretchen, of Richland Hills, Rex Minter Highfield and wife, Beth, of Sulphur Springs; two daughters, Mary Ann Highfield Colburn of Pickton, Susan Elaine Sawyer and husband John of Texarkana, TX, 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 1 brother and 4 sisters. Memorials may be made to Pine Forest Food Pantry, 3932 FM 269, Pickton, TX 75471. Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home.
