  Notes	I [Bob White] am not sure of Nancy's birth place. The Minter family were pioneers of Caroline Co., Va. After William [Riddle]'s death, Nancy stayed in Chatham Co., NC. In Nov 1784 a 12 yr old girl was bound to Nancy to learn the "mystery of housewifery". William & Nancy's 7 sons were average height & weighed from 200 to 300 lbs & had the characteristics of the Scottish people. They all served on the Am. side of the Rev. War. They may have had daughters, but no records were found. The following is copied from 'Minter Notes' by Don Chamberlayne (last updated 20 October 2011). Cross references to sources have been omitted but can be found in the original version. "Nancy Elizabeth (Minter) Riddle Nancy's approximate date of birth, "about 1713," is from June Bowman, who cites a Mr. John M. Jordan who is no longer reachable at the email address given. From William and Nancy (Minter) Riddle an extensive descendancy has been traced and can be examined at Ken Storm's website. Nancy is said to have died "about 1787" (K.Storm, documentary source unknown). "
